Here’s everything new about the Nintendo Switch Lite

There have been a lot of  rumors for some time that Nintendo was planning a pair of hardware revisions for the Nintendo Switch, and that at the least certainly one of them–a cheaper model–could launch as soon as this year. The idea of such methods would come as no real surprise given Nintendo’s history of providing new iterations of its gaming hardware. E3 came with none phrase of such a device, but out of nowhere, Nintendo has now confirmed one of those rumored techniques. It’s known as the Switch Lite, and it releases later this fall.

This would possibly not replace the existing Switch model. The most notable takeaway, except for the cheaper price point of $200, is that it can’t be docked with a TV, making it a handheld-only system. That has main implications on its objective and how certain video games can be performed, particularly those who relied on detaching Joy-Cons from the system. And whereas we do not but know everything concerning the system (how precisely you can or cannot transfer between different Switch techniques stays to be seen, for example), there’s rather a lot we do know in regards to the Lite, and you may observe together with all of our protection beneath. We’ll proceed to expand this as we are taught extra.

In the meantime, the existing Switch will be getting an update, if new FCC filings are any indication. That does not necessarily level to any meaningful improvements or changes for that mannequin, however, it’s potential there might be some slight enhancements forward of the discharge of the rumored, extra powerful Switch.
